Barack Obama
Barack Obama is such a great inspiration. He is a very good speaker. I think he will make a major change in history. He is now running to be the first black president.
Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961. He was born at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Barack means "blessed" in Swahili. His father, Barack Obama, was a native of Kenya. His mother, S. Ann Dunham, was from Kansas. Barack's mother is a distant descendant of Jefferson Davis, the first and only president of the Confederate States of America. When Obama was two years old his parents divorced. Baracks father only saw Barack one time before his death on 1982. Obama's mother married an East West Center student from Indonesia. the family moved to Jakarta where Obama's half sister Maya was born. He went back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents for better educational opportunities.
When Barack moved back to Hawaii with his grandmother he was enrolled in the fifth grade at Punahou School. He graduated with honors. He finished high school. Obama studied at Occidental College in Los Angeles for two years. He then transferred to Columbia University in New York. He majored in political science. Upon graduation he moved to Chicago and took up community organizing in Altgeld Gardens. When he was in Chicago he joined the Trinity Untied Church. He left Chicago for three years to study law at Harvard University. He was elected first black president of the Harvard Review. One summer at a law firm Obama met Michelle Robinson in 1989. He married her in 1992. They now have two girls, Malia (9) and Sasha (6). He became a lecturer of the constitutional law at the University of Chicago. He also became a professor at the University of Chicago until his election.
Barack Obama running as president believes in many different things. He has his own plan. Barack is committed to ensuring that every American has high quality, affordable health care coverage by the end of his first term. He also wants to make college affordable. He also plans on improving public schools. Obama wants to bring our troops home in 18 months. We hope he keeps his word.
Obama is in the lead with 1392 and Hilary Clinton having 1236 delegates. Hilary Clinton is coming back but if America isn't afraid of change she wont win. Obama has been so dedicated to his position as president and making a difference. He is an encouraging speaker. He has had help from his wife, Oprah Winfrey and others. Oprah is the richest black women. She is recognized all over the world. She has made an incredible change and has done a wonderful job helping Obama. I hope Obama wins and makes a difference in black history.
Now you know about who Obama is and what he has accomplished. I hope you realized Obama will make a wonderful change in black history. This spot wasn't just given to Obama, he had to work . Obama's work should be rewarded.
